An exceptional muse who remarkably influenced the creative work of authors Henry Miller and Anaïs Nin.
These visuals are inspired by the enigmatic, layered essence of June Miller. Her spirit draws others into her enchanting world, stirring curiosity and igniting a quiet wonder.
In the film June’s impressive character is regarded as forceful and witty while remaining demure. Taken along these lines, I wanted to explore the imagination of what Henry sees when he looks at June.
Photographed as snapshots from their honeymoon, the viewer encounters an imaginative spread — does the ocean necessarily have to be a deep blue, or might memory choose to paint it in softer, surreal hues that shift with time?
