Déjà Vu
PATINA WELLNESS.
The Inspiration
The Henry Jaglom film ‘Déjà Vu’ serves as the creative spark that inspires Patina Wellness.
Why buy a family home in the charming neighborhood of Kowloon City?
— Our concept is to evoke a warm, nostalgic sense of familiar comforts and to create a place where timeless memories are lovingly made.
“These are the moments I will always remember, etched into my memory forever.”
In Jaglom’s film, ‘Déjà Vu’, the underlying theme of the story is about a man and woman finding each other in mysterious circumstances.
They trust, believe and take a chance on destiny.
I mirrored scenes to show a mother quietly reminiscing about her young children, letting fragments of the past surface like gentle echoes. These visions and memories are intentionally rendered with a softer look and enriched with vibrant tones, suggesting warmer, happier times and a bittersweet longing for what once was.
Illusion is the scent of something real coming close.
Patina Wellness was designed by New York architects TsAO & McKown and is located at 18 Junction Road in Kowloon City, Hong Kong.

“To cheat oneself out of love is the most terrible deception, it is an eternal loss for which there is no reparation, neither in time or eternity.”
