The Inspiration
I love sci-fi and time travel stories.
This work is inspired by the cult classic film based on Richard Matheson’s novel Bid Time Return, with a lush score composed by John Barry. ‘Somewhere in Time’ stars Christopher Reeve and Jane Seymour and unfolds in 1912 within the elegant confines of a Grand Hotel.
Drawn to that same historic charm and gorgeous architecture, we chose to shoot our campaign at Essex House in New York City.

Gracileia will need the TUSK bag to travel through time.
She plays the Christopher Reeve–like character who is convinced she must return to the past to reclaim the love she lost.
And that was it ! Mark knew of the film, and said YES!

With fingers crossed I passionately shared my film concept over the phone to Mark Ricci, who headed the Hotel’s PR firm.
It may have taken a little time, but was well worth the wait. Permission to shoot was approved and the date secured! Their phenomenal hospitality was next level. Besides providing an all-access pass throughout the entire hotel to shoot as we please, the staff catered a beautiful lunch for our team. It couldn’t have been a better day, an absolute dream …
